Odita works for Ngozi Okeke who lives in Ajah, Lagos.

She reportedly confessed to the police, narrating how she delivered the stolen items on the February 10 to one Peter and a yet-to-be identified elderly man, implying that she was hypnotised.

She said she had agreed to burgle her employer’s room on the advice of the two strangers she met at the market the previous day.

While Mrs Okeke was away, Odita allegedly stole the key to her employer’s bedroom, gained entry and emptied the woman’s collection of fashion accessories. Some of the items she was said to have stolen included rings, necklaces and wristwatches.

She was said to have delivered the items to the fraudsters at an agreed location, including the sum of N2,000 that was given to her by Okeke to buy some items for house use.

However, after delivering the items, the teenage girl claimed she came back to her normal senses and immediately reported herself to the Maroko Police Station.

Meanwhile, the alleged fraudsters are still at large but on the police wanted list.

She has now been arraigned on two counts bordering on theft before Mrs A. T. Omoyele of the Lagos Magistrate’s Court, Tinubu, Lagos Island.
