Wednesday: Sweet Time With Jesus

Secure Fresh power from God

Micah 3:8
But Truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord.....

You cannot make greater impact without fresh power. Having a title and position does not guarantee outright success. You must secure fresh power. Micah, from today’s text, was already a prophet and had the mandate to preach, still he did not depend on his prophetic ordination only. He equally acknowledged that he was full of power by the spirit of the Lord, “to declare unto Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sins”.

Beloved, fresh power can be received from God. In John 1:12, the Bibles says, “But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even unto them that believe on his name”. Until you give your life to Jesus you will remain powerless in life. A powerless life is an impact-less life.

In Acts 1:8, the Bible says, “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you “. After you have received Jesus into your life, the next longing of your heart should be the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Even if you have been baptised by the Holy Ghost already, you need fresh empowerment for the next level of your life. When you are full of power you are strengthened for performance. Colossian 1:11 says, “strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering...”

When you are full of power, you will go through tough times with patience and gladness, expecting a glorious outcome. No man or situation can stand the power of God’s spirit. “Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost and .... they saw the boldness of Peter” (Acts 4:8,13). By the power of God’s spirit you can silence every opposition in life.

Prayer: Lord, I am full of power by Your spirit. No weapon formed against me shall prosper in Jesus Name....

Amen !!!
