God Rewards Love

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

God has a mind-blowing reward for those who walk in love. He is the faithful rewarder of those who walk in love; you can’t walk in love and miss God’s best. When you love God you go beyond just admiring Him or liking Him to doing His commandment of love.

‘‘God is love’’ (1 John 4:8) ‘‘ For this is the love of God, that we may keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous’’ (1 John 5:3).

Here we see why God reserves unimaginable and immeasurable blessings for those who work in love: He is love in person and He has given us the privilege of experiencing His love nature through simple, easy, practical steps and principles in His word. 

It is not a sign of strength to get even with those who hurt you; you lose at the end. Brethren, hatred, wrath will hurt you and not make you better. God sees wisdom in you when you practice love: ‘‘who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation of works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye be bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not...’’ (James 3:13, 14). So, the bitter man should hide his head in shame, the envious should repent as there is no wisdom in all that. There’s no toughness in anything evil or anti-love. The world may say you are foolish, but God says you are wise and the world is lying against the truth (James 3:14). 

Jesus showed us example of love in that He did not respond to all the insult and attacks hurled at Him. He forgave them instantly. And the Bible says God rewarded Him lifting Him far above everything and everyone else in heaven and on earth (Philippians 2:9). Likewise, if God will reward you before your world, you must walk in love before them and qualify for God’s reward.



Prayer : Lord, forgive me for every practice that is not of love. I forgive everyone who offended me and I receive Your reward for me.
