Love God’s Word

Psalm 119:97
O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day

One of the primary exhortations of scriptures is for God’s people to love God’s word. God’s word is God and God is same as His word. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Nobody can claim to love God who does not love His word. When you love the word of God deeply and passionately, it shows that you love God.

Beloved, it is possible to love God’s word. You can so love God’s word that it becomes impossible for you to stay a day without studying it. Ask God today to provoke a hunger for His word in your heart.

Let us consider some ways we can practically love God’s word.

- Love the God who is the source of the word. “O love the Lord, all ye His saints…” (Psalm 31:23). God is both the word and the source of the word.

- Study and meditate on God’s word with undistracted attention and focus. The discipline of opening, reading, studying and meditating on God’s word is a practical proof of love for God and His word. “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day” Psalm 119:97

- Obey, practice and apply God’s word continuously, Obedience to God’s word is a sign and proof of love for God. “loving God means keeping His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome” (1 john 5:3 NLT).

Beloved, you can’t miss God’s best when you go after God’s word passionately. Do you want God’s best? Then, go after His word.



Prayer : Father, fill my heart with love for your word. Let your working word work for me in Jesus name ……
