Power in the Secret Place

Psalm 91:1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Beloved , any believer who wants to make impact in life and destiny must recognize that there is a secret place of fellowship, prayer and devotion with God. He must be alive in his spirit.

The secret place is a place of prayer and the place of prayer is the place of power. Our text today says, “The secret place of the most High”. It means that the secret place belongs to God. In Psalm 62:11, the bible also says “power belongeth unto God”.

Since the secret place belongs to God, any believer who rejects the secret place rejects God. He goes further to forfeit the power of the secret place. The Church in Acts 12 neglected the secret place. Consequent on that, Herod “killed James, the brother of john with the sword” (Acts 12:2) and he proceeded to arrest Peter as well. In Acts 12:5 the bible says, “But earnest prayer was going up to God from the church for his safety all the time he was in prison” (NLT). The church woke up to the power of prayer.

Through the power the Church generated in the secret place, God sent an angel to rescue Peter from death. No man can amount to anything worthy of celebration if he ignores or overlooks the power of the secret place. In Psalm 139:15, the Psalmist acknowledges he “was made in secret”. You cannot die voiceless! The formula for your make-up is in the secret place and you cannot fail. Return to a life of consistent and continuous prayer from today.



Prayer: Lord, I recognize the power of the secret place. I receive grace to maximize the power of prayer.
