Excellence at Work

Proverbs 22:1
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold

The attitude with which people do their work is as important as the work they are doing. It is not the work you do that prospers you, but how you do it. You can prosper even as a street sweeper, if only you do it excellently.

No profession or career is more important than another. Whatever you do, take it seriously. Give it the diligence it requires, win yourself a good name and everything else will follow. When people keep money ahead of their reputation, they crash in failure.

Excellence at work is not restricted to career alone. It is a principle to apply even at home. From the way you lead your family as a parent, to how you pay attention to basic needs, to how you instil discipline in your children and household, to the atmosphere you enforce in your house. The reputation of excellence pays.

In Mark 7:37, people in Jesus time exclaimed of Him; “How will he does everything!”. That is the report expected of us believers that is the nature God put in us. We are not average minded; we have a “sound mind”. And it must reflect in the works of our hands, wherever we find ourselves.

Shabbiness is not synonymous with Christianity. You cannot dress shabbily, work poorly, bungle principles of excellence and manifest the glory of God. Strive to uphold a reputation of excellence.

Prayer: Lord, I receive the mentality to be excellence in the works of my hands in Jesus name...

Amen !!!
