Do You Have A Skill?
Exodus 36:1Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commandedBeloved, there is a connection between your skills and your harvest of success in life. God channels his blessing through the skills of men. To ignore your skill is to disconnect yourself from the flow of blessings. Skill is the ability that comes from one’s knowledge or training in a profession. It is competence and excellence in performance. Also, skill is specially required for a job, craft, trade or profession.
In Proverbs 22:29, the bible tells us that skillful men will stand out in their professions and enjoy audience with kings. “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”. Every career or job limitation skills. It takes adequate skills to take your position in life.
Let us consider some benefits of quality skill:
Position : “thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And pharaoh said unto Joseph, see, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt” (Genesis 41:40-41) How skillful you are determines the position you will occupy per time in life.
Profitability: “And they received of Moses all offering, which the children had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning” (Exodus 36:3). You can’t have a skill and not be profitable.
Patronage: “And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it” (Exodus 36:2). Your patronage in life is connected to your skill.
