Monday: Sweet Time With Jesus

Lord, Give Us Peace

2 Thessalonians 3;16
“Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all”

Beloved, the prayer for peace is an important prayer to pray. It is an important prayer to pray for yourself, church, family, community, nation and the world at large. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6). It is love for Jerusalem that provokes prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. If you indeed love your nation, you will pray for the peace of your nation. Peace is what determines prosperity. “Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces”. If we desire prosperity, then we need peace by all means.

Lets consider some kinds of peace we need and should pray for:

- Peace with God: Peace obtained by justification through repentance and salvation. “Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). To refuse to repent is to reject the peace of God.

- Peace over all fears, storms and calamities: You need peace that handles fear, silences storms and averts calamities. “And he arose, and rebuke the wind, and said unto the sea, peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39). God’s word has commanded peace for you. Receive it now! It is what we decree in prayers that will be established unto us (Job 22:28). So, let God hear you pray, “Lord give me peace”.

Prayer :O lord, give us peace always by all means in Jesus name....

Amen!!!
