Thursday: Sweet Time With Jesus

Cultivate Your Garden

Genesis 2:15
And the Lord took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

As a child of God, there are blessings to explore and enjoy to the full. But for you to enjoy anything that God has blessed you with, God demands your active cooperation and participation.

Your Garden of Eden represent every deposit of blessing, grace and potentials that God put inside you. For it to manifest, God says; “dress it and keep it”. That also means, work it, take care of it, cultivate it, work it out. Don’t let the gifts that God placed in you lie dormant. You are not empty and God will require a report of what you did with all He put inside you.

You cannot expect to flourish in life when you don’t do anything with the gifts of God in you. Expecting harvest where you are not investing work leads to disappointment. “ I went by the field of the slothful… And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles have covered the face thereof" (Proverbs 24:30-31). A garden that was meant to be like Eden can become desolate, unproductive and in ruins if people fail to invest work in it.

One of the reasons for the failure of great destinies is idleness. Nobody becomes great through wishes, empty dreams and idleness. You don’t just work to earn salary; you work to develop potentials. Even potentials must be worked out. The gift of salvation which is the greatest gift of God to humanity must be received by man, and worked out “with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12) before it begins to yield awesome benefits.

Prayer: Lord thank You for your word, I receive the grace to work out my success in Jesus name….

Amen !!!
