Monday: Sweet Time With Jesus

Building A Blessed Home

Psalm 128:1,3Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

When God created the earth and everything else in creation, He stood aside and saw that ; “....... everything that he had made .... was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Human beings are responsible for the decay we find all around us now. To enjoy a home blessed as predetermined by God at creation, people must arise and take steps in God to make changes. Let us look at the kind of people we must be in order to build a home that is blessed.

- You must be a person who fears God; who knows Jesus as Lord and saviour. You must be born again. Only the born again is able to bring God’s plan to manifest on earth. He is; “the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill ...” (Matthew 5:15). A person who doesn’t fear God won’t care about the destiny of others.

- You must be one who is constantly growing in your relationship with God: To fulfil what God has written in the Bible concerning a blessed home, you must constantly see it in the Word. What you cannot see, you cannot become. It is that constant “beholding” that changes us “from glory to glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

- You must be one who is serving God actively: The man who is serving God qualifies for God’s blessing. “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy .....” everything (Exodus 23:25). As you serve God, you attract the atmosphere of all-round blessing from God.

To establish a home under God’s blessing, start with yourself by personally adjusting your life to God’s word. Before long, everyone else in your home will become what God wants them to be.

Prayer: Lord I give my life to you I’m now born again. Give me the grace to build a blessed home in Jesus name .....

Amen !!!
