Monday: Sweet Time With Jesus

You are a king

1 Samuel 2:8 (NKJV)
‘‘He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the dunghill to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory…’’

The bible declares that we have been redeemed to reign, rule and occupy our positions as kings; to subdue and have dominion over all of creation on God’s behalf. However, there are conditions to be fulfilled if we must manifest this royalty.

First, you must become born again. John 3:3 says, ‘‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, I say to you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…’’ Your spiritually is the root of your royalty. The new birth initiates you into the class of God. Sin brought the world into captivity under the dominion of Satan but redemption raises man from the dust and places him authority and dominion over the earth on God’s behalf. So get born again today.

Secondly, you must receive this knowledge with conviction. What you know is what you will show to your world. John 8:32 says ‘‘And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free’’. Daniel 11:32b says, ‘‘But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits….’’ (NKJV) Pursue vigorously the knowledge of God.

Thirdly, renew your mind with this truth, Proverbs 23:7 says, ‘‘ For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…’’ Your mentality shapes your reality. Let this truth change your thinking so it can change your living. The quality of your thoughts determines the quality of your life. ‘‘Let this mind be in you…’’ (Philippians 2:15). Your life transformation is determined by your mental renewal. You are a king, think it, be it and you will live it.

Lastly, must engage brutal action to exercise your authority as a king. It takes active participation or involvement to enforce your dominion. Every Satanic challenge or adverse circumstance is an opportunity to demonstrate your kingly authority. Kings don’t cry over situations, they act to change situations. Rise up

Prayer: Father, thank you for raising me from the dust and setting me to reign in life. I receive grace to take my place and exercise my authority as a king in Jesus’ name...
