Every call of God comes with an inner stirring, a revelation and awareness of the place God has prepared for us and wants to take us to. He called Abram out of a known place; unto a land He would show him later (Genesis 12:1). Israel was brought out of Egypt to be taken into a land God had promise their fathers.

ROBBERY: Grandmum Weeps Over Stolen Umbilical Cord | Agboju area of Lagos State

A grandmother wept profusely in Agboju area of Lagos State, on Monday, when robbers snatched her bag containing the placenta of her daughter and grandchild.



The victim identified as Mrs Onwumere was said to have been returning from a private hospital where her daughter delivered a baby boy when the robbers snatched the bag near Agboju market.

Reports gathered that the two robbers who were operating on a motorcycle moved close to the victim before they snatched the bag around 9pm.

Mrs. Onwumere disclosed that the bag also contained N8,500 and that she was so shocked that she could not shout.

Fashola meets AIG Mbu on security in Lagos

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, formally held a meeting with the newly deployed Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, to Zone 2, Mr. Joseph Mbu apparently over security issues.

The meeting which was held at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja for several hours was held behind closed doors.

According to sources, the governor and the police boss deliberated on matters bordering on the security of property and lives of residents, particularly before, during and after the coming general elections.

Nollywood star, Rita Dominic, has joined her colleagues in the movie industry to endorse President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term in office.

According to the actress, the electorates are entitled to vote for candidates of their choices and not forced to exercise their civic rights.

She appealed to her fans and Nigerians to vote wisely and not use the elections to end good relationships they have built over a period of time.

Rita Dominic, in a short video, explained that she decided to vote for Jonathan in the February 14, 2015 presidential poll because he has brought transformation to the country. See the video

Woman, 43, in court for allegedly receiving stolen wrappers

The police on Tuesday arraigned a 43-year-old woman, Hajiya Safiya Yakubu at the Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly receiving stolen wrappers worth N3 million. 



The accused, a resident of No. 1, Poultry Road, New Layout, Kurmin Mashi, Kaduna, is standing trial on a charge of receiving stolen property.The prosecutor, Sgt. Mohammed Garba told the court that one Sanusi Mohammed, of Shop 57, Garki Ultra Modern Market, reported a case of theft of wrappers from his shop by one Amina Ali of Masaka, Nasarawa State on Jan.21.

Missing N30trn: SERAP Gives Ultimatum To Okonjo-Iweala | Prof. Chukwuma Soludo

As the war of words between the minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria,Prof. Chukwuma Soludo continue to rage, a civil society group has threatened to take the minister to court if she failed to provide information about the alleged missing N30trillion.



Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, (SERAP) in a Freedom of Information Act request to Okonjo-Iweala threatened to take all appropriate legal actions under the FOI Act to compel her to comply with the request if “the information is not provided within 14 days of the receipt and/or publication of this letter.”
